I'm an intern at a company that offers consults with sewage treatment plants (STPs). They create new STPs and rebuild old ones. Until now, I've been assigned to work in sales and engineering. My job is to make tentative calculations of the area needed for the requested capacity, and to create a layout for approval.
I chose this company since my country, India, has its own set of sewage treatment regulations. Every new construction must have a STP or the construction will not be permitted. My internship allows me to investigate how much capacity a plant should have to treat sewage from a given number of people, as well as what equipment is needed and market-based costs.
